Why are you seeking this office?

I’m running to restore the promise we made to American citizens.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is
___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Inflation, gas prices /food prices and everything we purchase. High prices are a pressing issue facing families. Charles Hughes’ objective is to lower energy cost by drilling oil in America, and
producing union jobs in renewable energy in America and reducing taxes on the middle class.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this
post?

They failed while in office, and they regulated our economy until inflation hit. Charles Hughes will
lower our energy cost and improve gas prices and support farmers, so food supply and costs can go lower, and farmers can make a profit.

If you are challenging an incumbent, how would you perform differently if elected?

Listen to citizens, engage members in congress to act in the best interest of middle class no matter
if they are Democrat, Republican or Independent. We are Americans first and deserve the best
congressman possible.

How would you characterize the events of Jan. 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol?

No American should damage the people’s capital and no public official should engage in
aggressive acts to upset an election when the outcome doesn’t go a certain way. The people of IL-06 expect an investigation on what happened and how to stop further attacks on capital.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Why the American people suffer at pump, grocery store and whatever they buy due to inflation.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this
job?

I worked with former Congressman Bill Lipinski. Nicor gas showed me customer service values. I grew up poor. I learned, nothing is given, but you work for it. Most of all, I love America and it’s citizens.

What was your first paying job, and what did you learn from it?

I worked for a butcher, where I learned how to cut a side of beef and fish from watching and listening. Pass the skill that someone taught you to the next person, because it’s the right thing to do.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Don’t let someone down, you might be their only hope.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I govern from middle, listen to facts and with input from citizens, then I can lean left or right. You
can work with people in congress to pass bills that benefit middle class instead of harming
families.
