BOSTON — On Wednesday March 19, No. 2 seed Illinois traveled to No. 7 seed Boston University for the first round of the National Invitation Tournament, unable to host any games on their home-court because of renovations.
Despite being down 17 points in the first half, the fighting Illini clawed their way back in the game to outlast the Terriers 66-62 and advance to take on Clemson later in the week.
