SEOUL, South Korea — The second day of the 26th Pentecostal World Conference (PWC) continued with two plenary sessions, eleven workshops, two discussion forums, and the installation ceremony of the Pentecostal World Fellowship’s (PWF) executive committee and advisory committees.
Rev. Daniel Alm (the Swedish Pentecostal Movement), Dr. Tim Hill (General Overseer of the Church of God), and Dr. David Mohan (the Assemblies of God, India) ministered in the morning plenary session, which was moderated by Rev. Ong Sek Leang, (the Assemblies of God Malaysia). Alm shared his belief that God has created the Pentecostal movement as a “vital part of what He will do in the future.” Dr. Hill challenged the attendees saying, “The world and the next generation need to see Pentecost.” Concluding the opening session, Dr. Mohan declared, “In the coming days, in our churches, we will see the fire of the Holy Spirit.”
Attendees were able to choose from eleven workshops featuring a variety of topics, including:

- The Pandemic and Accelerated Change in the Spirit-empowered Church

- Reaching Asia’s Youth Today
- Church Community in the Post-COVID era
Two uniquely important discussion forums were held in the afternoon. The first panel, “Pentecostal Revival in the Next Generation,” was moderated by Rev. Rob Hoskins (President of One Hope). The forum included Pastor Daniela Freidzon (Executive Pastor of King of Kings Church in Buenos Aires, Argentina), Pastor Terry Parkman (NextGen Pastor at River Valley Church, Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota), Rev. Gibson Anduvate (Superintendent for Kenya Assemblies of God), Rev. Max Barroso (Chair of the PWF World Missions Commission), and Rev. Teo Hayashi (Founder of the Dunamis Movement in Brazil). The topics of discussion included teaching the next generation to hear the voice of God, the significance of spiritual hunger for revival, authentic encounters with the Holy Spirit, and making room for the next generation.
During the second forum, Rev. Doug Clay (General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, USA), Pastor Goodwill Shana (Senior Pastor of Word of Life International Ministries in Zimbabwe), and Dr. David Ramirez (Executive Director of the Division of Education for the Church of God) spoke on “Pentecostal Leadership Challenges and Opportunities,” moderated by Rev. David Wells (General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada). The group addressed the need to help people with a shallow Biblical worldview, develop young leaders with godly character and integrity, and mobilize every member of the global Body of Christ for the Great Commission.

Joining Wilson on the executive committee are Dr. David Wells, vice chair, and Dr. Doug Beacham, secretary (Bishop International Pentecostal Holiness Church). The following were selected to serve as members of the executive committee for the next three years: Bishop Dag Heward-Mills (United Denominations/Lighthouse Churches Ghana), Rev. Marek Kaminski (Assembly of God Poland), Dr. Younghoon Lee (Yoido Full Gospel Church), and Rev. Dominic Yeo (Assembly of God Singapore).
Also announced during the installation were the locations for the 2025 PWC, to be held in Helsinki, Finland, and the 2028 PWC, to be held in Melbourne, Australia.
Attendees for the evening session received ministry from three plenary speakers. Pastor Glyn Barrett (the Assemblies of God, Great Britain) addressed the need for a healthy atmosphere for growth and multiplication. Barrett exhorted the congregation to allow the Holy Spirit to create an atmosphere for spiritual fruit and gifts. In a powerful prophetic moment, Next Gen Pastor Eli Bonilla, Jr. (Bethany Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana) shared that his grandfather preached at the 1973 PWC event held in Seoul. His grandfather spoke on healing the eyes of the blind man, and Bonilla used the point to show that nations cannot be reached without effectively seeing the needs of the next generation. Dr. Sammy Rodriguez (President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference) encouraged the conference that although these are the last days of history, we stand on the precipice of an awakening where more people will be saved, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit.
The third and final day of the conference will feature a prayer event at the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. The concluding service of the conference will be a Holy Spirit crusade.
