Racers Set To Compete At SEMO
The Murray State women’s track & field team travels to the Abe Stuber Complex to compete in the Joey Haines Invitational, hosted by Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Teams competing with the Racers include Harding, Lewis, SIUE, Southern Indiana, Western Illinois, Memphis, Southern Illinois, Murray State, Arkansas Tech, UT Martin, McKendree, Chicago State and host Southeast Missouri.
The Racers are coming off a great set of performances last weekend in their home event, at the Margaret Simmons Invitational that led the MSU winning three Ohio Valley Conference weekly awards. Rachel Hagans recorded the best long jump in the OVC this year and Amayah Davis did the same in the 100m hurdles. Dani Wright won the Steeplechase with a time that is in the top-25 nationally.

About Murray State Athletics
Located in Murray, Kentucky, the athletics department of Murray State University is a NCAA Division I member and plays in the Football Championship Subdivision. The Racers have 15 programs including men’s teams for baseball, basketball, cross country, football and golf and women’s teams for basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field and volleyball, as well as a mixed gender rifle team. Currently a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, the Racers will join the Missouri Valley Conference on July 1, 2022.
