An ole friend from high school, who now lives in Ottawa, Illinois, sent me a copy of a book on the Starved Rock Murders of 1960. I became so fascinated with the story that I traveled hundreds of miles to immerse myself in the area where the crime happened. I walked in the footsteps of Chester Weger, the man convicted of the crime. I walked down into the canyon where the crime took place…and I interviewed Steve Stout, the author of the book, “The Starved Rock Murders”. And…the main purpose of this documentary is to dedicate this video to the beautiful women who lost their lives that terrible day, March 14, 1960. May you rest in peace; you are not forgotten.
