Vic Mensa Opened The FIRST Black Owned Cannabis Company In Illinois..

Welcome back to Rap Spotlight. Vic Mensa is entering the cannabis industry as he has unveiled his new brand 93 Boyz, which serves as the first Black-owned cannabis company in Illinois. The heart of the company’s mission is to reinvest in communities of individuals that have been historically and disproportionately affected by outdated laws, prejudices, and assumptions regarding cannabis consumption. The brand also has an initiative called Books Before Bars which is dedicated to providing books to underserved Illinois prison libraries, providing inmates with potentially transformative resources.

93 Boyz has joined forces with aeriz, the largest aeroponic cannabis cultivator in the world, to provide sustainable and environmentally friendly products from plant to person. The line includes premium flower eighths, premium pre-roll, and strain-specific vape cartridges, encompassing a range of different options from sativa to indica to custom hybrid blends.
Mensa is also preparing to head to West Africa with fellow Chicago native Chance The Rapper next year for an upcoming festival inspired by Jamaican activist Marcus Garvey called The Black Star Line Festival which will take place in Ghana, West Africa at the historic Black Star Square on Jan. 6, 2023.
