ISAS Virtual Lecture Series: Late Mississippian Landscapes in Southern Illinois

The head of the Illinois State Archaeological Survey’s Curation Section Tamira Brennan discusses how the 13th century decline of Greater Cahokia marked a period of great change for the indigenous peoples living throughout southern Illinois. This lecture highlights recent archaeological research at sites along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers and discusses how the social and material landscapes of the region changed as Cahokia waned.
