Illinois Treasurer-elect Mike Frerichs press conference

FIrst press conference by Illinois state Sen. Mike Frerichs, D-Champaign, after he was named winner of the Illinois state treasurer’s race on Nov. 19, 2014. The race had been too close to call for two weeks after Election Day. Frerichs emerged as the winner when absentee and other ballots were counted on Nov. 18. He defeated longtime Republican state Rep. Tom Cross of Oswego.
