We stopped for a couple nights in Springfield, Illinois so that we could visit the home of Abraham Lincoln and finish out our tour of the places Mr. Lincoln lived. This is a wonderful historical site that preserves not only Mr. Lincoln’s home but the neighborhood he once lived, showing what middle class America was like in the 1860’s.
