0

What an amazing day on Snake Road, Illinois! We had 43 snakes which is a huge day for us. There were plenty of Cottonmouths, but we had some excellent variety with 7 different species. The highlight was probably the Copperhead, but those Ribbon Snakes certainly were exciting too.

Here’s the list of what we saw.
2 Dekay’s Brownsnakes
30 Northern Cottonmouths
5 Rough Green Snakes
1 Plain-bellied Watersnake
3 Western Ribbon Snakes
1 North American Racer / Black Racer
1 Eastern Copperhead

American Toad
Green Tree Frog
Southern Leopard Frog

Bobcat
Tricolored Bat
Tons of Armadillo
