Today we focus on the population trends from the 2020 Census. What stands out to me is the rush of people out of California, Illinois, New York. Now we see the declining population in California is expected to lead to the loss of two seats in the state which expectations are for Texas to pick up 3. Illinois has had the sixth year in a row of population decline and the thing about Illinois is the surrounding states have seen population increases, in fact, Indiana has made up a large portion of Illinois loss.
