Another year of spending the day checking out Art in Wilder Park in Elmhurst Illinois! We love this event and have been going for years. If you’re ever in Elmhurst and are able to check out Art in Wilder Park, we definitely recommend it!
Hosted by the Elmhurst Art Museum, this was the 26th year running and had over 125 booths of one-of-a-kind art, food vendors, and hands-on kid’s activities. Last year had over 7500 visitors, and I feel this year was even bigger.
Art in Wilder Park is a much-awaited Spring event in the western suburbs, as it is the region’s first outdoor festival of the year. In 2022, the festival was honored with the title of being one of the Best in the West and garnered significant media attention, featuring in numerous press outlets. The event drew in a large number of visitors, with almost half of them coming from outside Elmhurst.
During the weekend of the 26th Annual Art in Wilder Park, you’ll get to witness a brand new public art installation featuring life-sized sculptures of superheroes, commissioned specifically for this event from talented artists and youth groups in the area. This installation is a sneak peek into our upcoming summer show, Marvelocity, which showcases the legendary comic book artwork of none other than Alex Ross himself. So, come along and get a glimpse of these bold and captivating installations before anyone else does!
