Although this channel is typically about metal detecting Northern Colorado, Jeff and I recently took a trip to southern Illinois and met up with Matt Odom from @SkiSearcher .
Matt took us to several different homesteads, one of which was the site of a civil war encampment where soldiers ran drills. Although there were no major battles in the state of Illinois, it was wonderful to be able to recover at least one artifact from that era.
