Bloomington IL Entertainment Aback Economic Development Disaster for Downtown

Another “bad” night in downtown Bloomington IL, and the 800 lb. gorilla in the room standing in the face of City Council is just ignored. It does not take an advanced degree to see what is real reason downtown Bloomington IL has not developed and struggles to try to survive. But, City Council still seems to be following the same failed economic policy of “no bar left behind” and it shows. City Council has no one else to blame but themselves for this disaster. They still have their heads stuck in the sand while continuing to waste serious taxpayer dollars on additional law enforcement just to protect a handful of downtown bars. No other downtown businesses get this sort of financial and municipal support. Hence, why no one wants to invest in the downtown. The City makes no bones about where its priorities are.
