True Social Equity in Cannabis hosts press conferences in multiple-states to address Cannabis Corporate Monopolization as a World Health & Safety issue. People over Profit!

CHICAGO, IL (Tuesday 19, 2022) – True Social Equity in Cannabis hosts a Multi State rally for independent cannabis license applicants, license holders, concerned community members and state representatives to come together on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 10 a.m., in front of Chicago Central Illinois Secretary of State Facility at 100 W. Randolph St. The rally aims to amplify the message to President Joseph Biden, Congress, our Governor, and State Representatives all states along with the public. There is a country wide mishandling of cannabis and please be advised that citizens are still being targeted and criminalized for A PLANT while states legalize and allow monopolization among corporate ownership, rather than the promise of providing a means to END the war on drugs and uplifting the harmed communities. The right to enter the legal cannabis industry is a World Health & Safety Issue and is about people over profit.
True Social Equity in Cannabis’ demands include: NO Lottery’s, NO Caps, update and revise regulations to include getting rid of the cap on licensees in each state; pre-screen applicants based on TRUE social equity values and a track record for giving back to the community. NO Lock ups; all non-violent cannabis offenders regardless of quantity be released throughout the country now. NO More Waiting. Free the Plant Free the People.
Currently AZ, CT and IL are some of the worst examples of monopolization not working and we stand in solidarity as AZ fights an unfair/ corrupt lottery and CT fights for their right to not HAVE to smoke moldy weed AND against a bill that would make it illegal to “gift” the flower. While NY is early, we do not want the same debacle happening, as we have seen across the county state, by legal states.
Social Equity Applicants and Medical patients throughout the country were lied to. The transition between medical to recreational with each state has been a disaster. Prices for medical and moldy weed passed on to the consumer by monopolizing makes it clear that our government agrees that profit is more important than the health and safety of its citizens. Ignoring this epidemic continues to harm True Social Equity citizens and small businesses, while large corporations continue to spend millions on legal bribery aka lobbying efforts rather than growing a plant in a healthy way. The community needs licenses for small independent businesses in the cannabis industry who have shown their commitment to their area by action, not words and who, as craft growers, will care more for the plant then profit.
True Social Equity Consumers and applicants are imploring the Country and people who hold positions in government, we need to be heard. The country being in a state of puff, puff pass on this legislation to the next is NOT working. We demand ALL STATES including IL step up in the name of equity and empowerment of Weed Tha Ppl, that you stick to the spirit of the law of our humanity, and Free the People, Free the Plant. Stop Criminalizing people for a plant that has the power to heal so let it heal our families, our communities, our nations, our planet.
