In this Park Travel Review, we take you on a Illini Campground Tour in Eldon Hazlet State Park in Illinois. This campground is very large with over 300 sites and sits on the southwest banks of Carlyle Lake, Illinois. Many of the sites are reservable, but over half are first-come; first-served.
Carlyle Lake is the largest manmade lake in the state. It is a major player in Illinois tourism for boating, fishing, and hunting. We think it is the best camping in Illinois.
