The Nebraska Cornhuskers are going to have their hands full with the Illinois Fighting Illini on Tuesday night. When Emmanuel Bandoumel takes the court against the Big Ten rival, there’s one player that he’s most excited to go head to head against.
That player would be Illinois’ Terrence Shannon Jr.. After three seasons at Texas Tech, Shannon brought his game to the Big Ten and is having his best season so far. He’s averaged 17.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game and will almost certainly be “the guy” the Nebraska Cornhuskers will have to stop in order to have a real shot at an upset win.
On Tuesday, Bandoumel made it clear he understands the task at hand. He told the assembled media that he’s looking forward to going up against Illinois because he wants to see how he does as a defender against Shannon.

- One former member of the Nebraska football team found his new home on Monday. Kevin Williams, an offensive tackle who entered the portal shortly after Matt Rhule took over the program, has decided to go play for Charlotte.
- Nebraska volleyball player Kenzie Knuckles is still going to have ties to the university now that her playing days are over. It was announced on Monday that she will be working with the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ NIL collective The 1890 Intitiative. Knuckles will serve as the Director of Events and Fulfillment.

- The biggest news of the day was obviously the Georgia Bulldogs blowout win over the TCU Horned Frogs. What many hoped would be a good game turned into a rout pretty early on and the Dawgs ended up winning 65-7. The game wraps a bow around the college football season and cedes the stage to both the College Basketball season and the College Baseball season when it gets going next month.
