Governor Quinn Announces $5.3 Million for Southern Illinois Local Transportation Improvements
MARION — Governor Pat Quinn today joined local and area officials to announce $5.3 million from his Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program that can be used to repair municipal, township and county infrastructure in southern Illinois. The funds are in addition to the annual Motor Fuel Tax revenues these municipalities are scheduled to receive this year. Today’s announcement is part of Governor Quinn’s commitment to address local transportation needs, create jobs and drive Illinois’ economy forward.
