Hunting for COLORFUL GEMSTONES in Illinois that GLOW under UV light

0

We are a couple of nomads living and traveling in a minivan in search of free camping, cool rocks, history and geology to discover out in nature. While visiting Cave in Rock, Illinois we found a cool old dusty rock shop and toured it with you guys. As well as some rock hunting for colorful fluorite crystals also known as spar. We camped at the decommissioned Minerva mine and found so many rocks and minerals. we even pulled out our black light at night and watched the gravel glow due to the uv reactive properties in fluorite and calcite. This was the best rockhounding in Illinois we had done so far.
