Illinois State's Fight Song

FS #133; FSV 122.
This Missouri Valley Conference School is located in Normal (Bloomington-Normal area).
I will say that this is one of my other favourite fight songs too! Here are the reasons: the end quarters of the song tend to rise in notes. The first quarter ends in a low “doh” (Tonic sol-fa). At the end the second to the last note is the same as the highest, then the song ends in a high “doh”.
Lastly, compared to another vid that is like “Follow the Bouncing Ball (Redbird)”, it did not include you shouting “GO STATE!” It is optional (put in parentheses and at the time it is supposed to be shouted with good accuracy and effects). To my opinion and maybe to the students, it makes the song better.
Plus, I timed “ISU GO!” in the same way and for the same reasons-it should not be after the song is finished that you shout this. Listen carefully at the drumming when “ISU GO!” pops up and you’ll hear and see why this way is much more uplifting. Do notice also the quotations after “Every voice proclaim,”. The quotes are there as one should “proclaim” those lines inside them as “We’ve got the fight! …” not by shouting “GO STATE!”.
Somehow, I think that Illinois’ universities have the best fight song music in America! A short song with devotion!
Fans who have been listening and watching actively, you know what I ask you to do, but don’t take things too far in commenting. Thanks for watching!
