Again, most of the flowerbeds around the home were first created in the spring of 2018 so most of the shrubs were planted early in the spring and summer of 2018. However, a few were planted in the fall of 2018. This is their third year of growth as we head into summer.
A majority of the plants were planted from 1 gal. (7-8″ / 18-20 cm / 4 L) or 2 gal. (8.5″ / 22 cm / 7.5 L) size containers.
This home is located outside of Chicago, Illinois and is considered to be in USDA zone 5b (Illinois Zone 5 Garden).
