The Saint Louis Billikens have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the Iona Gaels at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Hynes Athletics Center. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.
Saint Louis didn’t have too much trouble with the Southern Illinois Salukis at home this past Saturday as they won 85-72. The Billikens’ guard Javon Pickett looked sharp as he had 23 points along with six boards.
Meanwhile, Iona entered their matchup on Sunday as the heavy favorite, and they fully lived up to expectations. Everything went their way against the Canisius Golden Griffins as they made off with a 90-60 win.
The wins brought Saint Louis up to 7-2 and Iona to 4-2. To make matters even worse for the Billikens, the Gaels enter the game with only 9.2 turnovers per game on average, good for third best in college basketball.
