Jeff Fort was born in 1947 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. In the 1950s, He, His father, mother, six brothers, and three sisters moved to Chicago where he drifted into the city’s violent gang culture. He dropped out of school and cycled in and out of detention centers.
At the Illinois State Training School for Boys, 13 year old Jeff Fort met Eugene “Bull”Hairston. The pair created a gang called the “Blackstone Rangers”.
