I’d like to add that I’ve always lived near big cities (Kankakee, Peoria, etc.). I don’t sound as ‘southern’ as rural Illinois folk. I’m a bit of a copy cat when it comes to accents. I sound like the people I’m around. Therefore you can sometimes catch me talking ghetto 😂
