How Does Bonus Code ACTIONYARD Work?
There are two key parts to this:
- Bet $10 on Patriots-Cardinals. The bet must settle, so don’t cash it out.
- If the team you’re betting throws for 1+ yard, you get $200 in free bets
But how do the free bets work? They’re almost like bets on the house. You keep the winnings, but you don’t keep the free bet itself.
BetMGM will return your $200 in four, $50 free bets. You can use them on anything — CFB, NFL, World Cup, etc. I like to use free bets on anything plus-money, because that’s what the math says is optimal.
After you’ve got your $200 in free bets, you can use them on anything. Let’s say I use them for Tuesday’s World Cup match between Argentina and Croatia. I’ll take Croatia +400 for this, and put all $200 in free bets on it.
- If Croatia wins, I’ll pocket $800 but don’t keep the original $200 in free bets. But that $800 is cash I can now withdraw or keep betting.
- If Croatia loses, I lose $200 in free bets.
How Bonus Code ACTION Works
Your First Wager
OK, you’re ready to make your first bet after claiming the bonus code ACTION. It’s a $1,000 first bet on the house, meaning if it loses, you’ll get an equal amount back in free bets.
Let’s say you deposit $1,000 and put it all on Cardinals moneyline on Monday Night Football at +130.
- If the Cardinals win, you profit $1,300 and keep the original $1,000.
- If the Cardinals lose, you get $1,000 back in free bets.
Betting with Free Bets
OK, let’s say Arizona lost. How do free bets work?
You’ll get them back sometime Monday night or Tuesday morning. And let’s go back to the World Cup example — you put $100 or your $1,000 in free bets on Croatia to beat Argentina in regulation.
- If Croatia wins, you win $400 but don’t keep the $100 in free bets.
- If Croatia loses, the free bet goes away.
That’s why these aren’t truly risk-free bets — you can lose it all if you lose your free bets.
