OnePlus Nord 4 runs Geekbench, gets certifications confirming chipset and battery

0

The OnePlus Nord 4 has long been rumored to be a rebranding of the China-only OnePlus Ace 3V. Last week this was sort of confirmed by a rumor claiming that the Nord 4 would be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset – just like the Ace 3V.

Now a Geekbench listing for a OnePlus phone with the model number CPH2621 has surfaced, and would you know it – it’s powered by the same SoC. Thus, this could be the Nord 4.

It managed a 1,875 single-core score and a 4,934 multi-core score, and the tested prototype had 12GB of RAM, though more memory options could be available upon launch. It unsurprisingly ran Android 14 and the Nord 4 should add OxygenOS 14 on top of that.

The same device has also been through the Eurofins certification process, which revealed that it has a battery with a rated capacity of 5,430 mAh, which will undoubtedly be advertised as a typical capacity of 5,500 mAh – say it with us – just like the Ace 3V. The plot, however, thickens (or rather, diverges a little bit) when it comes to charging, as that certification tells us the Nord 4 will support 80W, but the Ace 3V supports 100W.

We’re not sure what’s going on here but in the past OnePlus devices have been known to support slower wired charging for the North American markets, so maybe this is that. Otherwise, it doesn’t make a lot of sense for the cheaper, recently unveiled Nord CE4 to support faster charging (at 100W) than the Nord 4, but weirder things have happened in the mobile world in the past.

Moving on, the Camera FV 5 database says the Nord 4 will have a 50 MP main camera with OIS and f/1.9 aperture, which is also slightly different than the f/1.8 aperture of the Ace 3V’s primary shooter. The 16 MP selfie camera does seem to be identical, however.

It’s unclear when exactly the Nord 4 is getting official, but it should happen soon. We’ll keep you posted of course.
