The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) held a press conference to denounce proposed cuts to the Immigrant Services Line Item. ICIRR released a report showing that elimination of the line item, as part of Gov. Bruce Rauner’s proposed budget, could have “devastating effects” on immigrants, service providers and the state’s economy.
