Shooting at large gathering Friday night leaves 4 injured, including 2 teen boys in Lawndale, Chicago police said

Two gunmen fired into a crowd at a large gathering Friday night wounding four people, including two 17-year-old boys in the Lawndale neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before midnight, a group was a gathering in the 3500 block of West 13th Place when two gunmen approached on foot and fired multiple times into the crowd, police said.

A 19-year-old man suffered six gunshot wounds to the left side of the body, and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital. An 18-year-old woman was struck in the upper back, and was also taken in critical condition to the same hospital.

Two. 17-year-old boys suffered wounds. One was stuck twice to the right leg and once to the left arm. He also was taken to Mount Sinai and listed in good condition. The other boy went to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in good condition with wounds to the buttocks, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
