National Weather Service officials were expecting scattered snow showers before 10 a.m. Saturday with winds blowing from the southwest at 15 mph and wind gust as high as 25 mph.
Saturday night the snow was expected to pick up again around 10 p.m. with a low temperature around 21 degrees remaining blustery.
Current temperatures at O’Hare International Airport registered at 24 degrees,
