This park surprised us! We had heard a lot about Starved Rock State Park in Illinois and it’s convenient location close to Chicago, but we had no idea just how beautiful this park was. It has a great variety of hiking trails through the trees, along the river, in canyons, and multiple waterfalls. If you’re in the area we would highly recommend checking this place out… and there is no cost to get in!
