Travel guides advertise LaSalle County to keep tourists coming

0

Tourists spend $226 million per year in LaSalle County, according to state figures the County Board heard last week. Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau President Bob Navarro says to keep the tourists coming, his group pays for advertising. There are three regularly updated Heritage Corridor travel guides and LaSalle County is featured prominently in two of them. One is for the promotional area called Starved Rock Country. Another is for Illinois canal towns.

The third guide is for sites along the first 100 miles of the old Route 66, which didn’t go through LaSalle County.
