TRUCK STOP HISTORY LESSON??? Day 1 Travel Vlog 2022 #iowa #restarea #history

Day 1 of our trek to Nashville, TN finds us just 4 miles from the Missouri border and in need of a pit stop! We were so pleased to find so much history here at this location at Exit 4 on I-35
Plan on spending a little time here after visiting the main hall, which includes clean restrooms, vending machines, maps, and historical plaques. Then, be sure to enjoy the walking trail (follow the wagon tracks) to learn more about these early settlers and travelers.
The music played in the background is the hymn mentioned in the video, and is sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Some of you may say, “Wow, we didn’t know you were Mormon”!
We’re not…but we certainly appreciate learning about their travels and sharing this bit of history and beautiful music selection with you.
There are SO many beautiful rest areas being created along our highways and byways… we encourage you to take notice of them on your travels. Once never knows what you might encounter!

*I do not claim to have any rights to the music and clips used relaying the journey of the Mormon community used in this video. This video is for educational purposes as it contains historical content.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of Day 1 where we visit Swan Song Inn in Marshfied, Missouri
