Fighting a Progressive Income Tax in Illinois

Republican lawmakers join with others to discuss the proposal to change Illinois’ flat income tax to a progressive income tax, in which those with higher incomes pay more as a percentage of their income. In this program, we hear from those who say this would make Illinois less competitive in attracting more business to Illinois, and would also increase the incentive for Illinois based businesses to leave the state.
