Paul Schimpf of Waterloo is running as a Republican for the office of Illinois Attorney General. His opposition is incumbent Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, who is seeking a fourth term. Schimpf is a retired U.S. Marine Corps prosecutor, and was the lead American attorney advising Iraqi prosecutors during the trial of Saddam Hussein. The press conference was held at the Katy Cavins Community Center in O’Fallon on Tuesday morning.
