Illinois pre-selection allows for U of I students to submit their Mayo Clinic SURF application to a selection committee of Illinois faculty and staff. Up to seven of Mayo Clinic’s prestigious fellowships are reserved for Illinois sophomores and juniors who are seriously considering a biomedical research career as a PhD or MD-PhD.
